How to position cabinet handles. Knobs should be centered horizontally on the door stile on the side opposite the hinge. The general rule is to place a knob 2 12 3 from the corner of the door. On lower cabinets place knob holes 2-12 down from the top of the door.
For upper cabinets install knobs in the bottom corners of the door. Cabinet knobs should be installed on the stile opposite the hinges. How far up on the stile you place the hardware is a matter of personal preference.

Another way is placing the handle in a way that extends toward bottom rail of wall cabinet. This contemporary knob placement is both aesthetically pleasing and easy for installers. The bottom of the pull on upper cabinets and top of the pull on lower cabinets is centered on the corner.
